Edgar D. Lawrence is an associate professor of psychology and special education at Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, where he has taught since 1963. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Central Bible College, he earned a master’s degree from California State University at Northridge, where he completed the National Leadership Training Program in the area of deafness. In addition to teaching classes on deafness and sign language, he has authored two books—Sign Language Made Simple and Ministering to the Silent Minority. A renowned educator, he was honored in Outstanding Educators of America in 1975.

Ruth A. Reppert, BA, CSC, the daughter of Deaf parents and a native signer, is a professional interpreter certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. A University of Chicago graduate, she taught in Illinois public schools for 24 years and has initiated and conducted the "Community Education on Deafness" program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She and her husband, Robert, have produced the Practice Video for Sign Language Made Simple, and she has authored the Instructor’s Guide. |
